Probing role of others in rape-murder, CBI informs SC
Times of India | 16 October 2024In the previous hearing on Sept 30, the CBI was asked to submit status report with regards to probe into the rape-murder as well as the alleged financial irregularities.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta submitted the status report mentioning that charge sheet was submitted on Oct 7.Alleged offences are punishable under sections 64, 66, 103 (1) of BNS 2023 against accused Sanjay Roy. Hearing for consideration of charges has been fixed on Nov 4, it was submitted.
The CBI also highlighted the developments in the course of the investigation in the case of financial irregularities in RG Kar. — Srishti Lakhotia
