Kolkata: A 14-year-old girl, who went missing from her Brahmapur home on New Year's Day, was rescued from Vrindavan in UP on Friday.
A sepcial team from the Bansdroni police station traced the Class-VIII student by tracking her mobile tower locations, examining CCTV footage and analysing her call records and social media accounts. She was reunited with her family in Kolkata, police confirmed. "The girl was found unharmed in Vrindavan," said a senior Bansdroni PS officer. A counselling session is being arranged for the girl and her statement will be recorded before a magistrate.
Police confirmed she went to Vrindavan voluntarily. tnn
