Kolkata: A 35-year-old biker, Suraj Pradhan, died after a truck hit him near Bagha Jatin crossing on Raja SC Mallick Road on Tuesday. Cops said Pradhan was dragged around 20 metre after being hit by the truck. According to police, the accident took place when Pradhan tried to overtake a rickshaw, lost control, and fell from his motorcycle. A truck which was behind him, rammed into Pradhan's two-wheeler despite the driver's attempt to swerve right. The truck driver tested negative for alcohol. The truck driver and the rickshaw puller were arrested. tnn
