  • The state government’s ‘Anu modal’ portal has received national recognition for its effective use of technology in public service delivery. The award recognises the portal’s outstanding contribution to strengthening digital and public infrastructure.

    The state government’s Anumodan’ portal has received Digital and Public Infrastructure Award.

    Expressing her happiness over receiving of the award, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote on X: “Happy to share that Anumodan, the Single Window Drive Authorisation Generation Portal of the Government of West Bengal and developed by WEBEL under the aegis of the department of IT & E has been awarded at the Governance Now 6th Digital Transformation Summit and Awards under the category “Excellence in Digital Infrastructure and Public Infrastructure Development (DPI).”

    Miss Banerjee expressed her happiness after BanglaSiksha 3.0 revamped portal of School Education department has received an award.

    In her X handle Miss Banerjee wrote: “Happy to share that the project (BanglaSiksha 3.0 banglasiksha.wb.gov.in) revamped portal of the Department of School Education has been awarded the Governance Now 6th Digital Transformation Summit & Awards under the category Excellence in e-learning, Assessment and digital Education Platform.”

    Bangla Shiksha portal has made execution of all school related activities much more convenient. The real time data of all students are locked in one computer only, to be fetched any moment. The Unique Identification Number of the students helps to capture details of the students anywhere in the state anytime. It is just one click to get information regarding promotion or detention of students and issuance of online transfer certificates to the students. All data regarding giving benefits of the schemes like Sabuj Sathi, Kanyashree, Sikshashree, Aikashree, distribution of school bags, books, tabs or mobile phones are preserved in the Banglar Shiksha Portal.

    The portal has brought the school administration, guardians and the students closer to each other, said Sandip Banerjee, an educator.
